The sound of a well-running engine is a symphony of precision, as is any musical or audio production. Music has a basis in mathematics, as does motorcycle engineering and re-engineering.
Compound Sound has an ensemble of used vintage Japanese motorcycle parts:
Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha. On-road and off-road. Single, twin, triple, and four-cylinder. Two-stroke and four-stroke. Engine and bike parts. Even a few N.O.S. (new old stock) items.
Here on the Oregon coastline, the saying goes, “If you don’t like the weather, wait a bit, it’ll change.” Our inventory of vintage motorcycle parts is similar. We have a deep collection. If it’s not listed today, check back later as it could be listed soon. We also have other vintage items in our offerings, just to keep things interesting.
Compound Sound is run by a couple of vintage folks who have been around a while. Things once brand new to us in the 1970s and 80s are today’s vintage items. We know the past because we lived it.
We do our own motorcycle recycling, and understand the bikes we dismantle. When we know specific details and specifications for a given part, we list that information. When we don’t know, we say so. We verify all the OEM part numbers we list with legacy-resource websites such as Partzilla.
We ship our vintage motorcycle parts using UPS ground, to provide the least expensive rates for sometimes heavy and/or oversize shipping cartons. Even though buyers love free shipping, we cannot offer that option, since many of our items are heavy and/or oversize. Also, with zoned rates being applied by every shipper from USPS to UPS, and rate hikes, there’s no way to calculate a free shipping price that works for every buyer across the USA.
Because we are a small group, we offer 3-day handling on all our Ebay parts. We are not an overnight type of supplier. All our motorcycle parts have been around since the 1980s and 1970s. If it takes a couple extra days to get them delivered, par for the course.
We keep our prices as low as possible, sometimes below true market value. We do this intentionally to promote sales and build customer loyalty. If you should ever find an issue with any purchase from Compound Sound, please contact us directly through the Compound Sound LLC website or the Ebay email system, and we will make things right.
